Use numpad to open taskbar apps?

I'm aware you can use the use win+num to open up the applications on your taskbar in order of pinned up until 9, but I stop using them around 5 because it gets uncomfortable any higher.

Is there anyway to use the numpad instead? I feel its a bit silly that you can't, at least not by default.
