why my Nokia Lumia 520 won't turn on?

i was in class texting last week monday when i turn the phone off and put it in my pocket. After class i take the phone out to use and unfortunately the phone won't power on. Up until this day the phone won't even charge nor comes on, why? (Nokia Lumia 520)

Your phone's battery might be done for. Try connecting it to a computer with a usb cord to see if it does anything.
