Mobile or PC? On mobile, Thumba allows you to add a watermark. You can't move it, change the color or font. It just posts across the bottom in white. Might work for you, depending upon what you need.
On PC, MS Paint will do it.

Use Microsoft Paint. It should already be on your PC.
BTW, XP is long out of support and may leave your system vulnerable... Might be time to think about an upgrade.
