hi my surface rt has a issue with charger

hi my surface rt has a issue with charger. light flicks on when plugged into surface charge port then goes off and fails to charge. cleaned contacts and checked socket outlets OK..tried resetting with power on and volume up for 30 seconds still no good

Are you able to get a separate charger and try that? If that works, it's your charger. If not, it could actually be an issue with the Surface RT itself.
