Please tell me how do I charge my surface pro 4 while traveling in the car on long road trips?

I take long road trips often. I always used my Surface RT/car charger for listening to books while driving. My RT just died. are the car chargers interchangeable?

For SP4 you want a power inverter. It takes the DC current of the car outlet and changes it to AC and has a "wall plug" for your SP4 charger to plug into.
