Old refurbished Surface Pro 3 vs. New cheap Windows 10 tablet (Ex: Miix 320)?

I'm looking for some advice for this type of purchase. The refurbished Surface Pro 3 with a keyboard/pen would be about $100 more expensive. My use case is simple: web browsing, emails, watching videos and (mostly) Onenote with stylus use (required). I would like the device to last for ~3 yrs until I finish school. Which would be the better bet?
