No USB connection AND auto-upload to OneDrive not working

[Windows Central Question]

I have tried using different USB cables, re-starting phone with and without cable connection. Still no recognition of the device by the computer, even though it does charge the battery. And with uploads, the statement on-screen is 'No uploads at the moment'. It uploaded about 7 photos and now does nothing with the rest....

I need some pictures from there for legal reasons - please help.

The phone is Nokia 1020. The phone is up to date. WiFi is enabled.
