Why Is my Surface Pro not letting me in?

My surface pro turns on to the main screen but it won't recognize my face it won't let me type in a password or do anything and the mouse is in the center of the screen.

Have you tried restarting it? A silly question, I know, but you'd be surprised how many issues a quick restart resolves.
