Dell Laptop Poor Connection to Internet

My dell laptop has a weak connection to the internet. I am near the router, however, it still breaks connection after a few minutes.

Does the laptop have an internal WLAN card or is it an external USB WLAN card/dongle?

I recommend trying an external USB dongle/adapter.

Try giving your laptop a higher priority in your router settings.
