X-box One Controller works through micro usb, but wont turn on when using wireless dongle?

So I use an Xbox one controller to play some racing and other games, but it can only connect with a micro USB. I purchased the Microsoft branded controller Dongle but the controller wont even turn on or at least the centre button wont blink at all. Any help appreciated.

Try to update the drivers, or prefer to the manual it came with.
