Surface pro 2017 buying help

Should I buy the surface pro 2017 I7 16GB or I5 8GB? Or maybe even look at the Surface laptop with the same specs? The only reason I am more leaning for the Surface pro is because the keyboard is replaceable. I don't know how well the laptop keyboard will hold up. Thank y'all for the help.

That depends on your usage.

I wouldn't spend the extra money but that's just me.

Also, if you're looking for something easy to repair beyond replacing the Type Cover, the Surface is not for you.

As for the laptop keyboard, I don't know what to make of the fabric, but there's other options as well if you want to look.
