Phone not charging and turning back on.

I am using Microsoft phone 420 ( OS windows 8). Last night, I had put my phone on the wall charger after its battery was completely drained. The phone switched on as soon as I had plugged in, it showed 2% battery and was charging. But later when I got up after hours it was off and wasn't getting switched on. I removed the battery and put it on, trying to switch it on again but no luck. I am trying to charge it for the past 8 hours, even by connecting it to my pc with USB, and it is only showing charging sign sometimes but not turning back on.

Please help me with this.

You didn't mention any thing useful.
There is nothing called " Microsoft phone 420 ".
You didn't mention how old is the phone with you.
However, I think you do drain your phone battery often which isn't nice to battery life, especially because of trying to turn it on again while it's still drained.

Anyway, I think it's a battery issue, replace your battery with an original one.
