Windows Central Question

Hi,
I have installed Symantec Desktop Encryption software and encrypted the disk with OS(Local disk C). I remember the passphrase and the Whole disk recovery token. After the encryption was complete, I rebooted the system. It booted normally and asked to enter passphrase. I entered it correctly and then the screen goes blank.
My laptop is lenovo y700 with Windows 10 Home. I tried changing the boot mode to legacy and rebooted the system. I entered the passphrase and it now shows a black screen with cursor blinking.

I found this link after googling - support.symantec.com com/en_US/article.TECH149455. html (cannot post the url)

But, I am not sure about how to use the recovery disk image.

Could someone please help me out of this situation.
Thanks in advance.
