Windows Central Question

I have decided to purchase a new laptop (Lenovo G50 15.6) to replace my current one (Compaq 615), which preforms very poorly.
However, that new laptop comes with pre-installed Windows 8.1, which I absolutely loathe, as I consider Windows 7 Ultimate to be, well, ultimate.
I wish to know if there is an inbuilt way to downgrade pre-installed 8.1 back to 7?

Hi, there is no way to downgrade (for free) as far as I am aware.
Unless the laptop was purchased as downgradeable, where it would normally come with Win7 media to reinstall.
Your only option would be to purchase a copy of Win7 (with key) to install.

The ONLY way to "downgrade" from Windows 10 to Windows Ultimate Professional is by changing the motherboard. Windows 10 uses the archaic 8.3 version currently seen in most cell phones. Both systems have non-compatable bios. Microsoft really dropped the ball when they decided not to make both OSs compatable.
