I have some news for you.
Bad news - I dropped developing Video Explorer ( http://windowsphone.com/s?appid=b7f142c8-5958-4f1d-89db-7ad36fbe35bf )
It was made with lot's of "wrong" things, with very bad design and lot's of bugs. But it was downloaded more than HALF A MILLION times and it's average rating across all markets is 4.43/5. Not bad
So, that's good news - I've made a new player. It's not just "new Video explorer", it's a different concept of video player.
Some key-features are:
- MKV support
- AC3 audio support
- zooming support
- subtitles support (internal and external in 4 different formats)
- playback rate changing (speed up or make video slower)
- full screen video playback for devices with software navigation bar (like lumia 730/735/535/etc)
- customizable interface - you can add folders that you need (e.g. WhatsApp, Downloads, etc)
Now I've tried to make it good looking, in Windows phone style and with less bugs, so it was made from a new project, without using any old code.
At the moment I need some beta-testers that can give real feedback on my app (not just install it and forget).
I'm interested in testing my app first of all on low-end Lumias (4xx, 5xx and 6xx).
So, if you're interested in, please, send me a personal message with your Live ID and your phone model.
You can look at attached screenshots to see what's comming. App name is blured in photo editor, because I haven't decided my new player's name yet and now it has just "internal" name.
