    Is possible to have spinning progress indicator control in windows phone 8 development?

    No. This isn't Android. There are running beads/balls for WP on top of the screen or in middle of the screen e.g. on top in system apps and for middle - download and try Weave.

    Hi

    Using the spinning progress indicator is against the Metro styling. Here we have the subtle running beads/balls. Using the spinning indicator could potentially net you a truckload of 1-star reviews for breaking Metro/Modern conventions.

    That surely will get one star from me loaded with negative feedback about the UI. Of course if the app is good, it maybe two stars. But there are many out there who really enjoy the Metro UI. Those Fb apps etc. who are bent on bringing droid and fruit ugliness to this beautiful design, always have got a negative review from people like me.

    On a side note, why choose this over running beads?
