Hi friends i am a web developer and working on PHP with Codeigniter (MVC) i want to chose microsoft platform as a carrier so please guide me and give the solid reasons to why i left PHP.
And please also tell if i learn windows Phone (apps) how much time is required to learn windows phone platform.

Re: Migrate from PHP to Windows Phone

I've moved your thread to the Developers Corner forum, since this is a question that regular users would not be able to answer, but developers would. Hopefully someone who is a developer will know.

php + codeigniter is related to web development and you are willing to jump into mobile development , windows phone TBS . If wp development interests you should definitely go for it . But I believe there are scarce number of jobs for wp developer .

you don't have to leave anything ... developing for WP is a plus. PHP skills can be handy when you need to write webservice. it's always good to learn multiple skills.
