I need help about UI and about currency conversions.

Hi,
I am developping a conversion app, because I'm not really satisfied with any on the store right now, and I need help about something relatively simple:
How can I download the value of currencies? And how should my code convert them? Please note I'm rather new to C#

Also, I need advice about this UI:

I'm not really satisfied about it, and does anyone know how I can get the UI to slide? (not when you press on the burger button, but when you slide your finger across the screen) I want my storyboard animations to complete as one slides their finger towards the left.

Its really kind of up to you. It involves a lot of math. If I were you, just reverse engineer another currency converter app.
