MS Edge Offer to save password not working?

MS Edge "Offer to save password" not working.

The Edge Offer to save password is not working on my recent upgrade to Windows 10. I have confirmed the "Offer to save password" and the "Save form entries" buttons under Advanced Settings are both turned on but no option to save credentials is given in the login box for sites requiring a password. How can this malfunction be corrected?

Can you confirm that when you go to any site that requires password, you still have to enter the password each time?
