So I have a PC from 2014, but most of it's components except my GPU are from 2013:
- Intel Core i3 3220
- 16 GB RAM
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti
- Gigybate GA-B75M-D3H motherboard
I am noticing some performance issues lately, all my drivers are up to date but it's true that I am on the newest insider build. The PC is going to be 4 years old and as far as I am aware, PCs should last around 5 years. Now I have about 4 options what to do here and would appreciate some help with deciding:
1. Stick with this PC and wait if anything unexpected comes out until mid 2018
2. Buy a better processor that is supported by my motherboard (3rd generation i5)
3. Unenroll from insider builds
4. Just buy a brand new PC (laptops are not an option)

It depends on your money situation obviously but if you are able. I would buy a new one. 600-1300 bucks can get you a very capable machine depending on brand and what you want to use it for. Sell yours 150-200 bucks on ebay and apply that to the new one

I have one more question. I am planning on getting a Core i5 7600K. Are the current motherboards with LGA 1151 sockets going to be compatible with next generation of intel processors? I am trying to build a PC that would be upgradable in about 3 years. I was thinking of getting something like:
  1. GA-Z270 Gaming 3 Motherboard (LGA 1151 socket)
  2. Intel Core i5 7600K
  3. Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
  4. 16 GB DDR4 RAM
  5. 500 GB Samsung EVO 750 SSD
  6. 2TB HDD
  7. 750W PSU
