Interesting article.

The OP states that by bringing Android apps on Windows, Microsoft would finally address their issues and make Windows Phone just as good as Android and iOS. Or even better, given the fact that both Windows and Android apps would run on Microsoft devices.

Pretty much negates their whole "one core" initiative unless the aim is to offer "one lag" across their platforms....

Android coded apps shouldn't touch WP. BlackBerry implemented it to boost its marketing, sales, and market share. WP is nowhere near the shape BlackBerry is in.

And that move is what has put Blackberry now looking to stay afloat as they transition to a Cloud based Business model. The Passport is a huge Fail, now they are trying to release "Classic Keyboard BB".

The trouble is Blackberry didn't listen to their consumer base when they had the chance, and it almost killed them. Now they have no one to sell to, everyone switched to Android/iOS.
That's why the Blackberry Style Keyboard add on for iPhone was a Hot idea before the makers were taken to court.

Since there is no source for the rumour even mentioned in that linked article, this thread is now closed. It cannot be considered credible with zero source information even provided (no names, websites, anything).
