I like the fact we don't have all the apps

Gives me something to look forward to! Hell, a new app comes out on iOS/Android every friggin 5 seconds.

On Windows Phone, we get to savor that build up. When it arrives we cheer in celebration! So much better than just being inundated by useless apps for days on iOS/Android

yep, but i think it's also sad at the same time the fact that we still don't have official Snapchat or even Facebook apps or Instagram updates...

Quality over quantity.

At the same tone, we need to provide feedback or report apps that are "poorly" or "haphazardly" built... such as those that have not been updated since 2011... or <1MB weather apps that load a web page (instead of.. you know what I mean) with more ads than weather info.

Actually I just did the bi-weekly app clean out on my 2 phones.
I usually kill off around a third of the apps collected.

A lot of my downloaded apps sit on the list with "new" underneath them for a week or longer.
Maybe it's more about collecting than using.

I'll give you Snapchat and Instagram - the Facebook app is halfway decent after the latest set of updates.
