Announcing the Windows 8 Editions

The new windows 8 editions and features list from the windows team blog.

also the ARM version will only be available preinstalled so you won't be able to put it on your android tablets.

Kinda wish windows 8 pro had office pre-installed that would be nice.

Windows RT is a bad name for Windows on ARM. They need to come up with a better name.

Yeah but thats better than "Windows Light" which is what it really is. I think WOA was a fine acronym and they could have left it at that. (I guess they decided that the consumers wont know what ARM is )

I don't think that the name for Windows RT matters. If it can't be bought in a standalone package, your average consumer will probably have little exposure to it. They'll probably just see a tablet in person via an aquaintance or in a store or they'll see it online and it will simply be said that it has Windows 8 on it. Who cares about the version name, especially when it's the only one available for that type of device (differentiating the x64 versions on slates)?
