Fast tablet shutdown question...

Between the two tablets I have the Dell VP8 64 the other being the WinRT 64 original.
Shutting down the the Dell is like "right now".
The RT always takes 15 to 20 seconds occasionally longer.

Why is that?
 
Yes, the original Surface RT has a 1.3ghz processor where the Dell VPro has a 1.8Ghz processor. I think the Dell has more memory...

That would make a difference in how fast it shuts down.

But, also, Windows does many things when it shuts down including turning off device drivers.
Depending on the drivers that could also make a difference in how fast it shuts down.
