pdf reader/ebook app with highlight and annotate function

i am looking for something that I can use to read my textbooks on pdf or ebook format and i can highlight and do scribbles and annotate on.

i have tried the acrobat adobe reader and found it to be clunky. I also bought drawboard pdf, which would have been perfect if it saved my annotations and highlights.

any suggestions?

i am using a dell venue 11 pro on 8.1

It doesn't, even if you explicitly choose Save As?

It actually saves it but the file when you open again doesn't have the markings you made. Sometimes it doesn't even open it or shows that the file size of the saved file is 0 bytes.

I have contacted their support and said that this is a known issue in SOME PDF files and they are working on it.

I just need an alternative for now.

Have you tried putting the pdf's and ebooks in onenote? That's what I use, and it works very well.

I would recommend Bookvisor Reader but that only works for epub and fb2.
