how do you usually boot a Lenovo Thinkpad from USB?

when you need to troubleshot your computer, or installing a new operating system, you will need to boot your computer from USB flash drive. but as you know, different computer brands and operating system usually have different methods to boot from USB drive. so, how do you boot a Lenovo Thinkpad from USB flash drive? thanks very much for your sharing in advance. and i will also post my answer if i find a good one.

Just change boot order in bios.

what's the specific model? in older ones you'd just push the blue button when the computer shows ThinkPad right after pushing the power button.

Hold volume down while booting...worked on my Thinkpad 10, got me to the main menu.
