Windows Central Question

Hi ,which of the following two devices you would recommend
- Surface pro 4 Core M3-6Y30 HDD 128GB RAM 4GB or
- Surface 3 Atom x7-Z8700 HDD 128GB RAM 4GB

I have Surface Pro first edition with Intel Core i5, but would like more light and thin tablet with long lasting battery. I do not game nor draw, thus consider that the power of the above two would be just fine for using MS office, Inet browsing and HD videos (incl. MKV files).

What do you think?

The Surface pro 4 is in fact the better device. The only possible argument is that some people might want the ability to add LTE connectivity, prefer the smaller screen and or smaller price of the Surface 3.

SP4 Pros
-------
The Core M processor is going to be better than an Atom Processor

Larger (higher resolution) Screen and Smaller bezel

Better keyboard that has space between keys and larger (glass) trackpad

Windows Hello Iris Scanner

Gorilla Glass 4

8 megapixel rear shooter and 5 megapixel front shooter
----------

But if you do not care about the above advantages and or prefer LTE capability, a smaller display, and a smaller price then by all means the Surface 3 is probably for you

I was going to buy my mother in law the maxed out S3 but I decided on the SP4 M3.

I think it's worth the extra money to have the new high resolution screen and the fantastic SP4 keyboard. The screen reviews on the S3 were good but the SP4 is even better. People are just gushing over the new keyboard. To me, it made no sense to get an S3.

My mother in law will probably never use the pen either. She currently has a first gen W8 tablet running a craptastic old school Atom CPU.

And Windows Hello is freaking awesome!!!!!! I have it on my Surface Book and I cannot imagine life without it now. It unlocks so insanely quick. Even in a completely dark room. I wish there was a way I could get a Windows Hello camera for my desktop. Passwords, pins and even picture passwords seem archaic in comparison.

I've got a Surface 3 now. It fits the role I need it in my life. I'll probably pick up a Surface 4 when they come out as I mainly use my 3 for notetaking, light dev(emergency fixes), and media consumption. The difference in price wasn't really worth it when I bought my 3.

I've got a heavy duty laptop right now that'll probably be replaced by a SurfaceBook when it dies in a few years.
