Surface 3 or refurbed Surface Pro (1) i5?

If you could get a refurbed Surface Pro (1) i5 , 64GB, 4GB ram for roughly the same price as a Surface 3, 64GB, 2GB ram, which would you get?

I want it for school and to replace my RT. The RT was enough for my needs and thought about upgrading to the Surface 3 on Black Friday, but came across a refurbed Surface Pro i5 with pen for about $400.
