Windows 10 8 Inch Tablets

It seems Microsoft is not interested in the form factor. They don't have small tablets in the online store.

Thanks. Never heard of that one before. It looks like a good tablet. Though doesn't look like you can get it at a reasonable price anywhere (?500 on ebay). I'm looking to spend about ?100.

Well by chance I managed to get the Linx 810 on ebay second hand (only one used on there) for ?68 (US$102.26) including postage. Its hardly been used.

It costs ?97.99 (US$147.36) new on Amazon UK.

Not bad system for the money and full Windows 10:

  • IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution
  • Intel Atom Z3735G 1.83 GHz Quad-Core processor
  • 1Gb RAM
  • 32Gb internal storage
  • Windows 10 Home

I haven't heard of the HP Pro Tablet 608 either. It actually doesn't look that bad. It's quite surprising that more mainstream tech sites aren't talking about the multitude of Windows tablets out there. It goes to show how much the iPad, Android brand, and Surface tablets soak up the limelight. Though, to be fair, it could also be an issue of HP not sending out enough review units.

I do wish there was more quality 8-inch Windows tablets in the $200-$300 range. I just recently bought the 8-inch Yoga 2 from Lenovo and before that I owned a 8-inch Toshiba Encore 2. The size is just right for casually browsing on the couch.
