So heres another cool story about windows 8s phones guys.
Bought this phone on last sunday and was proud enough to show it to my friend on thursday who managed to drop it for the first time(4 days old).
Outcome: Phone slipped trough hes hands in about 5 seconds after holding it, landing on its plastic part on the upper left corner which somehow managed scatter the whole touch screen!(drop was about half meter or a bit less of a height, and landed on ceramic surface)
My mobile network provider sent the device to Latvia, and they told me that they will probably just return it in the same condition after 2 weeks.
By the way... My last smartphone was Sony Xperia Sola, and ive droped it many times on the driveway, landing directly on its screen and never had a broken touch screen issue.
How is it possible that HTC makes phones that are so easily broken?

sorry for your loss.. hope nothing like this happen to your next device..
want a damage competition? come and see my 8S
is there anything i can do to a dead 8S?
btw, from my experience,I can't really depend on gorilla glass for protection whatsoever..
when you drop it and "an object" hits the phone in the exact wrong place, you'll probably ended up with a cracked screen
broken screen sometimes caused with an (imaginative) formula of
(height+angle of drop+drop velocity) : luck = phone condition after the drop
my friend got an 8X, cracked it's screen with just waist-height drop... fell from his shirt pocket while he's doing his shoe laces
his luck just didn't save his phone

here's the revision of the formula
(height+angle of drop+drop velocity) x luck = phone condition after the drop
