Security HTC Win8s as modem?

Hello, I am pursued by an experienced hacker who enters my computer via my Vodacom 3G modem.

Are there known security issues with using the HTC Win 8s as a modem?

As far as I know there aren't any, it has WPA2 security which of course requires at least 8 characters for the password, so there shouldn't be any issues.
