My 8X is great, but the audio pickup is almost non-existent.
On bing search, i literally have to put the mic to right next to my mouth and talk loudly to get it to hear me. People complain about how quiet i am on calls and if you've seen my 1080P video test (Windows Phone 8X By HTC 1080P HD Video test - YouTube) you can see that it is very quiet.
I'm not sure if i have a defective unit or HTC really cocked up. They probably focused so much on sound coming out of the device that they forgot to consider the sound coming in.
