I have a 2012 Cayenne S and recently transitioned out of an android os phone to HTC 8X. I was driving along and my phone beeped in my pocket indicating an incoming text. Seconds later, the "Cayenne Voice" from the PCM ask me if it should read the text. It also allowed me to respond to the text by speaking. When I checked my phone later, the phone showed the text conversation perfectly. I had no idea the Cayenne had this feature-it did not work with my Droid, but I guess the new windows phone 8 allows this to function as described. Very cool feature. Love the phone by the way.
    willied and hipporama like this.

Very awesome. Judging from the post you didn't pair the phone to your car, did you figure out what caused this to happen?

The SYNC in my Mariner did this last night, too! I never had this feature with my Android. Pretty nice bonus.

This is a feature of Windows Phone, not of the Cayenne. Still, it's good that's working!

Yeah there a fair number of people who had the functionality in WP7 and can't get it to work with the new WP8 phones.
