I recorded a 3-4 minute video at the highest settings and transferred it to my windows 8 laptop. Either this is a codec problem or my 8x is more powerful than my alienware aurora m9700. The video is choppy and sound is out of sync. Anyone know what codec this video is using? Non of the players play it right.

My desktop (core 2 quad, radeon hd4850) plays my 1080P recorded movies just fine, both through the Windows 8 Video app and VLC. Are you sure the file didn't become corrupted when you transferred it to your PC? Does it play fine on the phone?

According to MediaInfo, video is AVC and audio is AAC. This is pretty standard mp4 stuff.
