Post your carrier and country. Lots of people still aren't able to get it.

It's accurate. Bad news though is my phone is now in a reset loop

Edit: I should point out that mine had "special" firmware and the failure is most likely due to that, not HTC's update exactly.

So the update is available to carrier phones too now? Or still just unlocked and international?

This is a firmware update following an OS patch--very common, as they are always bundled together.

No, this is not for carrier branded device as MS is still testing/collecting data on how this goes. Case in point is my "special" 8X which is now history ;)

Is there no way to save it and reflash like the L920 trick for when it bricked?

    Edit: bad sentence structure.

Sorry to change the subject a bit, but are you experiencing wear on the soft-touch coating of your 8x, Daniel ("dirty corners")?

yeah, I do. Don't know if this is normal, but the phone I was trying in the shop seamed to not have these "dirty corners". But for me it doesn't matter. I don't find it very disturbing...

I'm in India where HTC sold unlocked handsets. I got this update too. I had to check for the update manually and it showed up.

I received the OS as soon as word got out but this firmware update isn't showing on my phone yet. I just checked 1 minute ago and nada.

    Will try tomorrow morning.
Last edited by ajua; 12-13-2012 at 04:56 AM. Reason: I checked my firmware version and it's already at the version Daniel showed a few posts above. I guess I won't need it.

No and haven't had many complaints about it but I know what you are referring to...
