My phone just downloaded a 167mb update, when it prompted me to install it just said htc windows phone update.

I have no idea what the update installed, so far I haven't found anything

I already had portico installed, and not a single version number in my about page changed

    I'm on T-Mobile US

If anyone has any idea what this is about i'd like to know, because right now I don't have a clue.

There is an update rolling around for T-Mobile users. Supposedly it contains fixes for Skype only but at that size I'm wondering if it's something more as well.
I just checked mine (unlocked or unbranded) but the OS is up to date.

It should definitely be the Skype update. The update started Jan. 28. The picture below was taken directly from Tmobile's site.

I'm getting battery issues as well. Battery drain went up from 1.x% to 7.9%! I wonder if there's an option to restore to the previous firmware.

I restarted the phone a couple of times already. By the way, the phone got updated while charging. Let's see if it stays the same after fully recharging.

My wife got the update about a week ago on her 8x (Tmobile) and mine still refuses to get it. Any reason why one phone would get the update and another wouldn't
