Charging from empty

I'm having some issues charging my 8X when the battery is empty, it only seems to want to charge with the HTC cable that came with the phone. When I plug my generic cable in it just vibrates every few seconds. This cable works for charging when the phone is not empty.

You probably should not let your phone battery go to empty, it's hard on the life of the battery (which are not easily replaceable).

Then use your HTC cable. Your other cable is obviously faulty.

It's a faulty cable for sure. Use the one that came with your phone. If you use different chargers, get a new cable.
