Is 8X going to get w10

I already have 8.1 on my 8X, through developer preview. But, I thought I would still get firmware updates. Guess there were no firmware in the Verizon update? I have gotten no update.

Yeah, it is a little off topic. There has been no official word on the 8X getting W10. Most statements have been related to the Nokia/ MS Lumia devices. At least so far.

So far...pretty much all Lumias got the W10 update (TP)...even the HTC M8. I hope 8x is included in the next build !

While I have been happy with my 8x, I'm in the buy Microsoft only phone from now on (outside of a cheap LG Lancet replacement if something happens to my 8x between now and W10 flagship in Verizon).

While it might become more of a moot point since Microsoft has announced they are going to be in charge of OS updates, not the carriers, there is still the chance that an update might require a firmware update at which point the phone may very well be screwed.

As far as the 8x getting W10, I really have no clue as it will be close to 3 years old and be 2 generations of devices behind when W10 gets release, so while it could technically have it, if there's a firmware update required, I think it will be highly unlikely that it will see it.

Has anyone else with the Windows 10 Insider installed on their 8X noticed that it checks for an update about every half hour? Not sure if it is a good or bad thing.

My 8X (Unbranded) is receiving an update. . I heard there was an update like this for Lumia phones. but why is my phone getting it?

EDIT: I decided update it and nothing has changed at least when comparing the about screen before and after the update. No further update came out. Do you think is a preparation for Windows 10 Mobile TP

Why wouldn't you use developer preview version?? I had it from day one and never had any regrets. It's working absolutely fine. Never had any issues with anything. Have been running 8.1 from day one (April 15, 2014). So....

have also been using Dev prev 8.1 on my 8X
at the moment not able to get W10 via insider
that's why I have gone and bought a Lumia 830
still using the 8X as well
