7.10.8107.79 update

My LG Optimus 7 has currently got 7.10.7740.16, I believe that 7.10.8107.79 is the latest? How would I get this?

The newest version for the LG Optimus 7 that I have on my phone is 7.10.8773.98 . I have a german Vodafone model, and just updated it normally via the Zune software on my pc. If your Zune says that the newest version for your phone is 7.10.7740.16, there are some things you can do:

- Install the latest version of zune
- You can try to force the new updates: How To Force An Update On Your Windows Phone (This is the safest method)
- You can try to send the .cab updates to the phone. for more information, look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306415
- If your carrier has not (yet) released the update for your phone, you can allso install Open Firmware, which has no branding, look at the following thread: [FIRMWARE]LG Optimus 7 E900 Original ROM's[DOWNLOAD] - xda-developers . The firmware on this site doesn't contain the latest version either, but after installing open firmware, you should be able to receive updates via zune. This however is a risky method, because if it goes wrong, you could potentially destroy your phone.
