FYI: Today T-Mobile US's 640 website added an 'Order Now' banner, but when I called the number (877 426-2014) the rep didn't have any information about availability or a target date. If anyone gets specific information, please let us know. Thanks!

I called and was put on hold forever, then another rep answered and ask for the same info that gave the first one. Then they wanted to transfer me to prepaid since that is how I pay. Asked all I want to is the price of the phone. Was put on hold again and then was hung up on....

I will try later maybe I will get rep that can help..

Update was able to speak rep that was able to give me info. Expected price gasp $250 which could change closer to Release in May. Hope price comes down....

Rep was most likely incorrect I'm thinking.
Heck Expansys US is taking pre-orders for the XL for that kind of money.

Rep did say price could change closer to release. but I am with you $250 is too much. I was Expecting range of $150. I will just wait hoping price comes down else may have to go with XL with tmoble bands if price does not drop.

I aagree with you. Wouldn't buy the 640 for anything over $200.

T-Mobile have some cheap plans but they do over price their phones (Nexus). I know they include support costs in that but hey, Google does provide the same support for a lower price. Microsoft should start selling both the 640 variants unlocked in store. Worst case one can buy it from B&H when they stock it

That number showed up for any phone - not just the 640. I saw it for the 640 and looked for it on an Android device (the M9) and the same number showed up. Must have bee a new website "feature".

Yeah, $250 is bananas. I'm glad that someone got a more useful rep than I did yesterday, lol. I think I'll just wait for the phone to appear on Amazon. T-Mobile likes to do that with some of their phones so hopefully it would be there too when it comes out.

It was working earlier, but it's been taken down. My guess is it was a test. The price seemed awfully low. I'd love it if that ends up being the actual price, but I'll believe it when I can actually order it at that price.

It's not low, it actually feels right. That's what Microsoft has been pricing the phone in India so the price would be more or less the same, mostly less than a 100 bucks

Edit: Considering I get about 10% student discount from Microsoft an $8.90 discount does confirm it would be priced at $89

Been waiting for the 640 to replace my 925 which hardly charge. Ordered a sony xperia today. l will be back when windows 10 is ready and there is more devices available

These companies must get a kick out of pushing consumers to the edge of a chasm and watching a few go over to something else.
I'm getting very tired with this policy of dangling tidbits.
Very frustrated here.

Just keep punching everybody in the gut US retailers\carriers...everybody will eventually go unlocked with bargain providers.
