another workaround instead of turning off/on, is to pause the track or podcast, go back, and select again and hit play - presto sound is then at correct level. its weird cos it doesnt happen all the time, and it can be really annoying having to fiddle around

I know its still in Beta or Preview or whatever they are calling it, but its ridiculous that other non Microsoft platforms have a perfect Skype experience. Having moved from a 4s I expected better. Hurry up MS we need our Skype!

so long as you have selected that photos and videos are stored on the sd card under settings on the phone, then I can confirm whatsapp saves those incoming attachments on the sd card

another fix for this is to play another song after changing the volume, as sometimes during playback the sound volume doesn't change. but I have found if I select another track then it plays at the correct level. bizarre - used to happen a lot but seems not to be happening recently - don't know...

yes if its new its a good price, I got my 820 back in November for ?359 (although included the free wireless charging pad offer) and overall am very happy with the phone

on my 820 you dial ##3282 (without the final # at the end). be careful though, I was playing around with this and my wifi stopped working, luckily I remembered what I changed and put it back.

what it will be is your cheapo pay as you go phone will be on 2G, whereas the likelihood is that your 820 is on 3G with poor reception. if you want to make sure go to settings, mobile network and change the highest connection speed option to 2G and you will get the same reception as the PAYG handset

at the moment the CV_GB variant that I am using doesn't have 4g as an option, although I read elsewhere that there will be an OTA update to enable it at some point in the future. Nobody is going to wait are they! Maybe Luis and Carl who are using the Belgian update can select 4g on theirs. Guys?

agree with MikeSo - the interference with the music player is super annoying, if I pause a track and then reply to a whatsapp message 5 mins later, pause place is lost. to be honest on the iphone its pretty cack as well - I once got a message 2 days after it was sent.
