I think anytime you use Internet Explorer on it mobile data or WiFi, a huge chunk of the battery is drained...So conclusion to that side of things would be probably anything thats data intensive. Apps such as Twitter/WhatsApp ain't like that I guess.

Whilst I agree Battery life will vary between user, I think some of the expectations of what people want out of their phone is unrealistic..In the modern day, especially android..If you get 9hrs usage, you've done especially well..I'd say the same with an iPhone. Taking into consideration WP8...

Would just like to say I have managed to unlock my Lumia 920 Orange PAYG for ?30 without any issue via Unlock Nokia Lumia 800, 710, 900, 610, 510, 820, 920, 822, 810 by code I selected it as Orange PAYG (as that's how I bought it). Unlocked within 8 days. Got 2 codes too :) ..Now working on...

I can ask the other 40 people in the office who have different phones (Galaxy S 3, iPhone 5, Note 2, etc) and they don't have the same issues. I even brought my backup 8S in today (to show to some other folks) and that doesn't have signal issues with the same card it stays consistent. Death grip?

I honestly can't figure out why mine is worse. I'm in the city center and I can just about manage 4 bars. Signal fluctuates heavily between 2 and 4 whilst on H. My colleague sat next to me has his Lumia 800 on EE (Orange UK) and gets full signal. What gives? Any ideas folks?

I'm just curious. Having come from a Galaxy Nexus I can say my signal is worse :( My signal fluctuates from 1 bar to 4 (its never full now) and heavily fluctuates between 3G and H Can firmware updates fix this kind of thing?

Then forgive me for being Naive then it has to be a Windows Phone bug. I didn't have this issue on WebOS or Android with the same sim card. Coverage hasn't changed in my area and I'm on the same network. Literally the only thing thats changed for me is the phone :/
