Synctoy is a great backup program its been around forever. It lets you backup your stuff and only backup changes so it takes less time and less wear on the external drive.

Just tryed it. Good recommendation.

The thing I think frustrated the average user and was a huge mistake I windows 8 and 8.1 is the interface was great for touch oriented devices but not for your standard non-touch devices. It should have autoconfigured depending on if it was a touch screen or your typical mouse and keyboard...

Would love it for GPS navi. Like jaguars it could show a virtual car in front of you showing where to turn, not solid of course but transparent as to not block view.

Re: i setup the family plan and the microsoft accout . She doesn't email, I set it up for her Nokia 520, no SIM. Basically using it as a small tablet for her.

No I created one for my 9 year old you just have to approve it from the parents account. Also by the time she gets older I figured her name would be taken and I was able to make the email her name.

Keep in mind it might only have the name. In windows 10 there will be two music players. One for streaming and one for local music. This should allow them to take care of many of the gripes people have had with Xbox music (for those using local collections).

I didn't mention that I've tried dozens of players as Xbox never worked well for playing local music for me. These are the two best I've found.

If windows 10 can run on 512mb devices the 1020 would be fine, and as a technical preview I would do it on your non-daily phone in case some updates are buggy.

Re: i setup the family plan and the microsoft accout . Does he have his own outlook account (that will allow his phone to backup and be seperate from yours setup wise). Did you setup a payment option under his outlook? Once this is done it should work.

Zbox is by far my favorite for local storage. Onemusic is nice too, but zbox is free and better.

Did it work for you. Mine wouldn't power up out of box even after 30 minutes of charging but after charging overnight it works perfect and has ever since.

From the looks of it, it will be an alpha release unless you choose the slower update cycle. Whereas the current preview app was at times beta releases and at others finished updates. So yes there will be potential for more bugs. But I you want a safer route choose the slower update schedule...
