Yeah I too experiencing Phone freezing after exiting any of system apps or so. The touch screen unresponsive, screen becomes so dim after 30 seconds. The only way to recover is removing the battery and then restart. I don't know what causing this issue, but I posted it in Windows Feedback...

Check and Update your PC through windows update, restart.. this might work, and you'll get "Get Windows 10" app running in task bar.
