The "app gap" is the least of our worries. It's the "OS gap" that bothers me because It'll be abandoned by MS in 2 years. Not the end of the world I suppose. Like the OP says... all of MS's apps are on other platforms and they'll continue to flourish.

Agree completely with the OP. If Win10 doesn't die it's development will continue to proceed at a "crawl" with relation to Android and iOS. Always behind... everything coming "soon". I'm waiting to see if the rumored 4" 6C from Apple gets legs next year. Until then I'll live with my lowly...

This message is annoying. In my car it "beeps" and notifies incessantly, like ever 20 seconds. At home I only get it once. How do I neuter this damned thing? On 10586 here. If I recall, in Win 8.1 there was a toggle to never show it again but not so in Win10.

Why all this love for Verizon? If the phone I wanted only worked on their system I'd get another phone. That's how much I despise them for their extortionist policies, hidden taxes and generally complex plans. And now that Apple is subsidizing phones, I hear Verizon is sucking wind. Oh well...

Here lately, it seems that's all we're doing is touting "Hope and Change" when it comes to MS. I'm about ready to head back to OSX and iOS.

I am using Windows 10 "free" Office apps on a tablet. (Excel, OneNote, Word, etc). They work fine with a Wifi connection but just crash otherwise. What's up? Don't these apps work offline?

How does one do this? The video streams using any browser but I can't view them full screen. There's a button there but it doesn't do anything.

No alerts, sounds or banners especially with email. I get nuthin'. I think I got one banner from an email back on Jul 29 but after that zilch. Yes, I have my settings configured properly. I do get Windows update notices in the Action Center and maybe a News Alert on occasion.
