Disappointed in X3 at Nashville store launch

Yeah, but it was day 1 for the store. I was probably one of the first few to handle the unit.I can't imagine that they'd launch a store without upgrading and patching all machines on the floor. Maybe they don't, though

Disappointed in X3 at Nashville store launch

The MS Nashville store opened yesterday and I went to the event, somewhat expecting to pick up an X3 to replace my iPhone 6 plus. I didn't end up doing so because the display model was terrible - it was slow, continuum was laggy and froze several times, and the unit felt too light. My wife has a...

    No visual Hello on SP4?

Ok, so the video in the article that you referenced says "One thing that we expected to see with the SP4 was the depth camera. We haven't seen that". Is there any other official MS source which confirms that the day 1 SP4s will have it?

    No visual Hello on SP4?

That doesn't make my decision about what to get any easier

    No visual Hello on SP4?

So this article must be wrong: Hands on: Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 outdoes itself with more power and refined features

    No visual Hello on SP4?

I saw a PC World article which said that the camera on the SP4 won't support Hello - that only the thumbprint reader on the keyboard will do this. Is that correct? If so, seems like a big miss for the first Pro released after Windows 10.

    Did Wikinvest die on WP8.1?

Wikinvest stopped working for me yesterday and today I re-installed, hoping it was some sort of data corruption. I couldn't find it by searching the Store app on my phone, and had to do a web search and click the install button on the web version of the store. Even then, they said they couldn't...

    Finally giving up

Feeling like crap because I finally decided no not renew my Zune Music Pass for the first time since I got it with my Zune device years ago. After enjoying the service and the Zune software so much, the transition to WP8, Win8.1, and Xbox Music has been nothing short of a complete and utter...

    What was that photo app?

Yes! Creative Studio! Thanks, guys. Fotor has it available on their web site, but not in the WP8 app. Thanks again

    What was that photo app?

Don't think so - I think that was written to simulate a blurred start screen for use as a background on the lock screen. I did have that installed before i found Lock Buster, though. This app was more of a full featured image editing app. Thanks for the suggestion.

    What was that photo app?

I'm hoping someone can help me. I used to have an app installed that would allow me to edit a photo by drawing an outline around a part of the photo that I wanted to feature. It would them blur out the parts of the photo that I hadn't traced out. Does this ring a bell at all?

How are you sharing video captured with your WP8?

Thanks for the PrimeTube suggestion. It appears to be almost the same app as Metrotube but with slightly different branding. One of those guys definitely ripped off the other. It also shares the same restriction - you can only upload videos recorded with the app. I wonder if this is an SDK...

Media Monkey or Music Bee to manage Lumia 920 playlists/sync music

MediaMonkey has awesome tools for cleaning up MP3 tags and album art. I've used it for years for this purpose alone. It's nice to have another feature that I use it for now.

How are you sharing video captured with your WP8?

I think that by today's standards a new smart phone should be full featured enough to be able to do basics like this without having to go back to the PC. I haven't ever used an iPhone, but I bet you can take a video and upload it to YouTube or some other service without having to plug it in to a...
