There is speculation that MS have realised you can use any spare Windows 7/8 key, and there is now no longer a way for them to reliably check for multiple activations using the same old keys. Forcing people to go through the upgrade routine means that MS know you have a legitimate Windows 7/8...

One of the firmware updates fixed it for me. Are your Windows Updates up to date? My SP3 is on Windows 10 now.

Interesting, as I have an ATIV S and am moving to an iPhone 6. Why? The main problem is app support. I have a number of apps I use at work, and I'm currently taking an iPad in to work. Also, my ATIV S is unlikely to get WP8.1 anytime soon, and it have had bad experiences upgrading OS versions...

The iP6+ is a lot smaller than the iPad mini. I cant see Apple putting NFC and therefore Apple Pay on an iPad. Plus, you don't carry an iPad around with you in the same way you carry a phone.

I have an i5 256GB SP3 with this 'wake' issue. The keyboard lights up and I get haptic feedback from the Start button, but a blank screen. At times like this the lack of a power light or any operating noise is frustrating!

Something has definitely changed since my last update; I am on 8.0.10328.78. Sometimes I experience massive battery drain. The phone even gets hot! I hardly use any apps; just mail and Messaging mostly. Has anyone else seen this?

I had it in my pocket today whilst it was doing Internet Sharing at HSDPA+ speeds, and it got extremely warm.

I picked up an ATIV S for GB?360, when a Lumia 920 would have been GB?480. It's even cheaper than the Lumia 720 at GB?380! The removable battery and additional storage are great features, and I loved the AMOLED screen on my previous Samsung Omnia 7.

amazon.co.uk has it listed, but no stock. Not knowing what country you are in, I don't know if they ship there.

So the prices for the Lumia 720 are finally announced. First, it's exclusive to O2 on contract and PAYG. Secondly, the SIM free unlocked price is ?382 from amazon.co.uk its a great looking phone, but too limited availability and too expensive IMHO.

Lighten up! As the starter of this thread, you can't deny my enthusiasm for the 720; it's a great looking device. However, the lack of accurate pricing information and availability has put me off. Nokia could learn a lot from Apple in this regard: they should announce exactly when a product...

I have used the SevenEighter tool to add a few more updates up to 8862.
