Can't sync band with desktop app

Is anyone else having issues with the Microsoft Band Sync for the desktop? My band shows up under the device manager when I plug in the USB cable to my band so I know the computer knows its there but the application just reads "Your Microsoft Band is not connected....Please plug in your band". Ive also tried on 3 different computers and spent over an hour with Tech support with no answers (They said they will call me back this week after some research). I'm concerned because as far as I can tell firmware updates will only happen using this application.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is having issues or are your bands all syncing fine?

I have the same problem with my PC, but only if I plug it in to a USB 3.0 port. If I plug it in to a USB 2.0 hub, such as the one on my keyboard, the app recognizes the band just fine.

I was having the same issue my band would sync with my Pro3 and desktop when I first got it, later it would not sync with my desktop. It would go to about 13% then give me an error, even though it would still sync the PRO3. After exhausting reloading the app, resetting my band, going into power options and resetting the USB power options, I finally went to the CPU manufacture, in my case AMD down loaded the latest CPU driver, it began to work again. I also have eye-fi that did not work right and it cured that issue also.
