Aside from the small viewwindow, is it possible somehow overly on top of an object a projection of what's behind it, rendering it invisible?

use glass. it is transparent. no need to be invisible and stuff. XD

I know, it did not make sense. at all.

I guess this post is gonna be given the invisibility cloak, and it will disappear. XD

No it makes sense to me! He's asking if virtual objects/images displayed by HoloLens can completely mask or obscure anything (physically) behind it.

That's an interesting question but I don't know the answer myself.

I think at the bare minimum it's something a developer should look into to see what's involved. And if they need to have an up-to-date recording of the background or if they can use that Adobe texturefill tool to glaze over the spot.
