mozo back case on the 640xl

i got the back case from mozo for the lumia 640xl, and i like it. but i thought i would share my experiences about ordering it since some people might be looking to get the back case for the 950 series.

first, the case is great. it adds a grippy back to the 640xl, and it also slims the phone. it also adds a bit of flash. What was also nice is they included a 5" sleeping bag cover as a gift.

ordering, however, is a little bit lacking. I've order items from Europe to the US before. I expect shipping to be a premium, however, usually VAT disappears so it's sort of like paying for shipping. while I'm not sure of how this whole thing works, but typically, VAT equates to roughly a 20% discount. Anyway, the whole thing seems like their shipping to the US needs to get sorted out, or, someone should import them and sell them.

not entirely clear but this will replace the default case and not go over the phone with case, correct? The metal or metal like sides seem to indicate that it will simply replace the default case..

yeah, it simply replaces the stock case with a (subjectively) much better looking one.

Have a friend in the UK who can ship this? I will definitely think about asking one of mine.

edit: never mind, the last time we tried this we got charged by customs. probably playing lottery whether they check or not.

edit2: I have no idea what made me think mozo is located in the UK. Forget my rambling above....:winktongue:

i think they might distribute to some retailers in the UK, but not sure. I think the best option would be to buy direct from them, but I think they need to review their policy about charging VAT to not EU customer. Or, I need to learn more about when Vat is charged to non-eu customers.

Can you take a picture of your case? The black and white "classy" ones look nice. I can't tell if the edge is copper colored or pink from the pictures though. I'm guessing copper.

looks like matte copper to me from the picture. I'd love to purchase the purple one for my wife with the purple buttons. looks really cool.

got two cases from Mozo, the purple and black one. They are really nice. The edge of the black one is copper colored. Would be really cool if they made this out of anodized Aluminum but I guess over time the tabs would wear out the phone itself and not hold anymore.





The purple one. Perfect with a light theme and purple color. Let's Go Crazy

I've learned my lesson when taking off a case as well. I had a white one from ebay and it cracked right at the thin part for the buttons. If you pull the case off from the bottom left rather than the top you can avoid that. I know I pulled it off from the top when it cracked - too much stress on that thin part.
